sky hd
spiderbox 9000hd with motorised dish.
My Location
Derry/Donegal
not sure were to put this i see this advertised from the o2 arena on sunday night to cinemas up and down the country, does anyone know what satellite they would use for such a thing? would it be possible to pick up?

Nothing there now. Probably just a signal line-up test for tonight.
 
You cant add it - its not on the "Sky satellites"! :D

You need additional equipment to be able to watch feeds like this.

There's an interesting article here about delivery of media to cinemas by satellite -

H262 video is the norm for these transmissions rather than H264 at present, as many cinemas apparently still use bog-standard MPEG2 receivers. Still, as thecaretaker says, with the high bitrate it's a brilliant picture.
 
Interesting read, thanks. Elevation is out on my dish because of the new holder so unfortunately couldn't watch
