UK electronic design specialist Lidcom says it is going into production with a DTT 'side car' adaptor that will retail for £60. The company says manufacture will start in July and it is close to signing deals for the box to be badged by major manufacturers.

The company says that in volume production the simple box's price should rapidly fall to nearer to £50

If they can do that, it may well open up the market to second and third TVs, plus bring in as yet unconvinced punters.
