Check your local Lidl this week they have the SilverCrest (Comag) SL 65 FTA receiver for £39.99.

I know someone was looking for a cheap FTA receiver here last week...

THey are not being advertised on the weekly downloads that I receive or the local flyers. I shoul imagine that it is a "local thing" for North of the Border.
I doubt that you will get one in Bournemouth or Espana. May be early next year for other regions.:-hny

My fault for not being very specific... i just thought people wanted a cheap FTA receiver, which is what the Sagem is...

Yes it is, it accepts a patch for another receiver, there is a thread in the Portuguese section and a couple of mentions in Jimbo's sports section.

PS. Not to do with this. Removed the challenge function on the arcade which was causing problems. :)

Having checked out the locals it looks as if East Anglia misses out yet again on the cheap sat receivers. Ah well! I'll just have to let my daughter have one of my spares for freesat.

Regarding patching. My understanding is that this newer model, the SL65 is not as easy to patch as the older SL55 model, but a breakthrough was made recently and patches are starting to emerge. They are not 100% there yet though.

My advice is to grab one of these if you can and then wait until the patching becomes a little more developed before you risk breaking it.

That's right, the Poole Road store. They had just a few left.

I'm going to pass on this one this time :-Cbigsmil , I'm thinking on getting a Technomate 1500 CI +. I need some advice from the experts here so I'll start a new thread....

There's been a big pile of them in the new Great Yarmouth store as a special opening offer for the last 2 weeks at £29.99 yes £29.99 and 80 cm dishes for £9.99. I know that's not much help in Felixstowe but it might help someone! :-thumbup
