Linking Sky HD to computer to transfer programmes

Its my 1st question - so hope I can ask

- how do you transfer the programmes to your computer from the Sky HD box please. I have been told the Sky + HD box inadvertently allows this - is that correct - Can you help please.

If they are programmes from encrypted channels forget it - the programmes are recorded encrypted then authorised by the card on playback.
 
They can be transferred to a computer and then put into another sky box to watch,ie;if you have saved them and need to change your sky box.There was an article in wotsat last month or two months if you manage to get a copy it's detailed in full.
 
I understood from the Sky engineer at the time of the installation that Sky had inadvertadly not blocked the access of the boxes permitting you to take films off their box to PC - was he correct then or not ?

Never heard of "Sky not blocking access" There are ways of getting recorded programmes of a disk using things like copy+ software. However to be honest its a whole load of hassle for not much reward - most things will be repeated sooner or later!.
