Since the amount of 3D content available at the moment is rather thin on the ground, this thread is for anyone with a link to content that demonstrates the 3D effect, to give people something to justify that £1000+ price tag.

Connecting your screen to the PC via HDMI is probably the minimum requirement, but verification of any result using the SVGA port would be useful (though it won't be in HD of course)

The latest technology / format isn't compulsory, the 'Quality Street wrapper' glass type is acceptable to put things into perspective (sic) to show how the older releases hold up.

First off, the Sony advert from the World Cup.

And the LG link, sadly the content is missing, replaced by a link to the dealers.

A link to a comprehensive list of 3D releases, all the better for the descriptions, the posters and (best of all) the method of 3D generation.

The 1953 era is interesting as the flash-point for 3D to be shown around the world, the 70's appear to be the point where erotic films made in 3D did their best to catch up.

(I'll try to pull some links - for *ahem* research of course)

More 3D content from the web, much of it with the option of 1080 high definition ( and apparently there's a 3D Youtube channel )

There is a conflict about Panasonic 3D vt20 and a SKY HD amstrad 500gb box, when you change the panny to a 3D mode then the ir signal from the TV interrupts with the Sky HD remote control, but if you turn off the 3D mode on the TV the sky remote works fine. just wanted to let you know about this.

It will come back once the manufacturers have decided enough time has passed since the last fiasco and the public can be conned into spending their hard earned beer tokens on the new great thing called 3D :D
