Linux Mint 18.1 "Serena" has just been released

Can either be freshly installed or can be upgraded via the simple expedient of using Update Manager to bring Level 1 Updates, errm, up to date, then going in to the Update Manager's Edit Menu, where an option to perform the Version Upgrade can be found.
 
Im going to be upgrading my laptop - back to v17.3

I put 18 on it last week & its a disaster on it - the cooling fan is churning all the time & videos are almost unplayable due to processor load
 
Never had any problems whatsoever with 18.0 and so far none with 18.1.

Goes like sh*t off a shovel! :D
