Is it possible to measure the LOF direct on the lnb (inside?) while adjusting the screw ?
I do have a sat PROFCARD 7301 and the VMA 138MHz-4.4GHz analizer .
You would need a spectrum analyzer the goes above 30 GHz or one that goes to three times the LO frequency, (LO frequecy is 9.5 to 12.5 GHz depending on the application the LNB is used for) this to look for any unwanted spurs or out of tune harmonics on the LO frequency, it would also need an isolated frequency probe (non contact) as to not affect the LO it's self.
That and a non-metallic adjustment tool, if looking at the IF output (900 MHz to 2.5 GHz) it may not work too good, as that frequecy is input dependent.
. From 30Hz to 26 GHz. GED is a high quality, high volume manufacturer of standard and custom electronic devices such as: OCXO's, VCXO's, TCXO's, VCTCXO's Frequency Translator's, Synthesizer's, Microwave Amplifiers and DRO's. The Frequency Spectrum of our devices covers the range of 30Hz to 26 GHz.
1.5m IRTE PF, Invacom SNF-031, TBS6983,
Various L, S, C, X & Ka bits. 1.2m S/X/Ku/Ka Prodelin on Az-El (being refurbished), 1.8m Precision PF with Bullseye Ku LNB or various C & X bits
You can do it if you have the LNB on a dish and tweak it there. Find a known signal (beacons are best) and tune the DRO for the desired frequency at IF.
For Eshail, if you've got a TBS6983 & Crazyscan/EBSPro, leave the DRO where it is and modify streamreader.ini so you can tune below 950MHz. There are plenty of cheap PLLs that work well for EH using a TBS6983 etc e.g. Octagon OSLO.
