Hi,

I have a Quad Inverto Red line LNB, 1.8M dish and Echostar HDR600S for fringe reception outside Oslo.

I noticed the signal on 4Seven was low, pixelation during day time 20/30 , evening is okay 60/60. BBC channels are 85/90 all day long. I can live with this but...

I have an old Canal Digital decoder which i use for alignement, so i tried alignment , no help. But when i was aligning on 11126 V 22000, i tried switching LNB types and when i changed to a Standard LNB from Enhanced i then had 80/90 signal, a jump from 20/30. Weird.

So my questions is WHY?

Is my Echostar HDR600S not sendng the right switching signals to the LNB?

Any help appreciated :-)

I assume those LNB settings are changing the LO setting. When you put the wrong LNB setting in you are actually tuning to a different frequency than the one displayed on the screen, and by the sounds of it, one which is stronger for you.

Hi there.....the inverto red line is not the best LNB for fringe reception ....Also All BBC channels are due to move soon to a similar signal strength satellite as channel 4/7......so maybe now is a good time to upgrade to a Invacom C120 flange LNB and a Raven feedhorn ....I had great results with this combination ..........

"Solly".........do you think I would get a signal inprovement....with a inverto black pro C120 flange LNB...?.......though my invacom c120 Quattro is doing a great job .....any tips for inprovement are welcome......Though a inverto octo black pro 40mm Lnb ...I tried wasn't very good......!..
