Why bother buying the fancy lnb protectors on the market when it is easy to make your from a clear plastic lemonade/soft drink/cider etc bottle with a stanley knife and affix with a cable tie. Cut off the screw top of the bottle and split the neck slightly a few times to allow it to be fitted over the lnb and cut off the bottom of the bottle enough to allow the lnb full view of the dish. Affix to the lnb by a cable tie around the split bottle neck.

Have you seen this ?

Nifty project on the same theme.

Do you need to rinse the bottle first?

I'd want summat tidier on my dish setup-its low down on the garage and can be seen by peering passerbys, but you try it Dave and let me know how you get on....

Yeah plastic bottles are good for experimenting but if you want something more permanent and properly fixed then I'd be tempted to go for something custom made for LNBs. And even then I'd only use it if I had problems with signals in the wet.

Here is my pictures fitted on a technomate tm4 and an inverto black ultra.
