Hello guys. Could anybody help? One of our little feathered friends must have pecked
the front circular cover on the front of my LNB. It's still working, but moisture must soon enter and "Kapput". Should I stretch some polythene over it and tape it from behind, or
should I cut a circle of something and install it more permanently. If so what material?
Hoping for your ideas. Regards Dave.

Why not just get a new LNB?

A pet food can cover should be OK, I think someone used one in another thread for the feedhorn of a Fibo dish.

hello
if its raining you can use a plastic bag and wrap the feed horn cover and use electrical tape.
do it in a way so the tape is does not crossing over the opening so only the bag is covering the front.
new lnb costs about 5 euro almost any where.
dual output may run 10 euro new.

That s easy,i have one funny picture about this problem.
Done.

Funny, yes - but very practical too!

Never tried it myself but I remember from years ago that the plastic caps that breweries put on their metal beer kegs were rumoured to be a good replacement LNB cap.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I didn't realise you were such an inventive lot.
Will try some, see if one works best. Regards Dave. P.S. Like to know where
I could buy a new low noise single for 5 euros though. :-jest
