I can see advertised "universal " LNB.
Do they mean that it covers all TV broadcast channels ?
What is the difference between a "quad" LNB and "universal in terms of tv reception channels

Thanks?

Universal means that it covers both high and low bands in the Ku satellite frequencies. Nearly all LNBs for Ku band are now universal.

Quad refers to the number of outputs the LNB has. A quad has four, effectively the same as having four LNBs in one little box. Also available are single, twin and octo outputs. Note that a quad is not the same as a quattro. A quattro is a special four output LNB which is used with a box called a multiswitch. Don't buy one of these by mistake.
