My Satellite Setup
Moterk 2100A motor on Cyfra+ 80cm dish,45'E-37.5W Technomate 6800 HD receiver(Normal).
Windows 7 and Linux.

I have a Universal LNB installed on my roughly 80x88cm official Cyfra+ dish. I had a clean install yesterday as I changed wall mount and aligned the motor arm to the dish. Now I am able to receive 30W-13E but some channels are missing or have poor signal quality. I only got to know about F/D today i.e diameter(D) of dish and (L or F)length from dish to LNB arm. I have been informed to calculate is dividing f/d to get F/D ratio. mine is approx 30cm and diameter is 80 so I'm gettin 0.375. i have a slx LNB1u. So could this be where the problem lies??
I have a technomate 6800.
 
I doubt it - the permissible fore and aft movement of a 40mm Universal LNB on an Offset dish is quite small and not terribly critical in most cases. Best to set it at the mid-point.

f/d is more or less fixed, unlike with bigger prime focus dishes where it is far more of an issue.

The problems are more likely to be due to an error in the re-alignment.

Is the new mount perfectly vertical all round?

Is the dish correctly mounted to the reference line on the motor stub?

Did you tighten all clamps equally to ensure no slipping as you tightened?

Did you use Thor as your reference Satellite?

Are you using DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS?

Is the LNB skew set to zero with respect to the LNB collar?
 
Hi,
I agree, most unlikely to be the LNB mounting.

Send the dish to a sat you are having problems with, go to the dodgy transponder, and gently flex the dish azimuth and elevation, to see if you can improve things, if you can, you are not on the arc properly and you have some adjustments to make.
 
usals and yes I use Thor as reference. Yeah its zero on collar. The tightening of clamps i try to tighten them equally. as for reference line on motor stub i measured the length when assembled the dish and motor before i put it on wall mount. it was 2cm each way so thats pretty equally. I will try to finish today before the snow comes as they are forecastin' at the mo...
