Logged in but permission denied to access my account settings

I don't live in the UK anymore, and have cable, so I really don't need the periodic "We miss you" emails I get.

I signed up originally years ago, maybe that's why there are problems with account access, but I can't go in & change the site settings to get me off the mailing list.

Deleting my account would be a fine option for me; anything as long as I stop getting the emails.

New member's have limited access to profile setting options. What section are you having trouble accessing?

New members have restricted access. We had to make this change after problems with spammers a couple of years back. You will get full access to your control panel in a few weeks time when you have made some posts.
