Long range usb wireless mouse

I'm looking for a wireless usb mouse that can work over a long range 20 to 30 mtrs if possible.

It will be used with a CCTV digital video recorder installed in the loft and the mouse will be located in the living room adjacent to the TV for controlling the recorder, Is this sort of range possible ?
 
You can make a wireless aerial to work at the 802.XX frequencies used by the dongle
 
The USB mouse has an RF receiver that plugs into the PC/video recorder, it's range is about 3 to 5 meters, you can move the mouse receiver down close by to where you need to use the mouse by getting some USB to CAT5/6 converters,(USB in/out to CAT 5 or 6 in/out) run the cat 5/6 cable up to where the DVR is and locate one of the USB/CAT5 converters close by, I have run this type of setup about 50 meters without problems.

Well, if you are running Cat5 then you may as well use a PS2 mouse and cut/join the connections at each end of the line.
