Twaz listenling to this programme late last night and I did not hear a dropout of any description in the hour or so I was tuned in.

Is there something strange in the air this week ?
 
There's been been some good atmospherics during the last week or so. Had some Spanish and eastern European stations swamping the fm band. They were so strong the locals were getting wiped out.
 
That sounds like sporadic E for the FM signals rather than extended ground wave reception that the LW band would have...Could be the dry weather not absorbing as much signal though at a guess.
