Advice Needed Looking for a new receiver DVB-S2X

My Satellite Setup
Sedea 80 cm, 1w 13e 19.2e Inverto black ultra LNB
Laminas 150 motorized 47.5w to 76.5e Megasat Diavolo + scalar ring
Channel Master 1.8m
My Location
South France, North of Marseille
Hi all,
I'm looking for a new receiver with these specifications:
- DVB-S2X
- Blindscan
- lock low frequencies ( like Es'hail 2 10492 H)
- SFR

Principally to hunt feeds or muxes, a "simple" receiver

Do you think EDISION OS mini 4k is the best choice ?

I'm using modified firmware in SatDreamGR, coz' in Openatv original firmware dosen't lock.
This was a manual search, not blindscan

GTMedia V9 Prime will do that and can be had cheaply (around £25), data signals will lock but not scan anything in. For QO100 an SDR works better than any STB.

Have you viewed frequencies just outside your comfort zone previously, your posts have been promoting certain outdoor equipment for quite a while.
 
@Channel Hopper yes several frequencies received outside my area that I normally can't received ( 7w 8w 26e MENA, 66e Russian beam ...) but to complet "my collection" some satellites like 37.5w provide principally DVB-S2X signal

Do you received 13575 H DVB-S 27500 5/6 , extended frequency on Nilesat 301 ?
 
No, how do i lock this channel?
 
Not easily ! I thought that only few receiver can lock it, but apparently you must have a ku band extended lnb ...

Extended Ku band???

I heard that an Extended Ku band could exist. Could you please advice about that? Is it a new frequency band or something related to the actual 10.7-12.75 GHz band? If it is a new portion, which satellites are planned to use it? Last but not least, which LNB can be used? It seems not so easy to...

So I choose to stay on a Linux receiver, Edision mini 4k ordered ^_^
 
@AtOM13 despite that i have octagon supreme i just ordered the edision os mini 4k as well.
Also i am waiting the technician to make my 2.40 dish motorised on friday ...
Wave frontier T90 has significant signal loss in thunderstomrs weather...
 
Wow 2.4m dish ! Actuator should be massive too ! You want to lock 28.2e from your location ?
 
@AtOM13 I used to have sky uk official card ... not anymore though, its been a decade
and more now that i have not a clear picture what the 2.40 can actually bring. i have on it an ultra flange latest
inverto lnb and at 7 east gives 18.1db stable in some frequencies. However and a second normal ultra inverto
black i have put next to it at 0.8/1w gives in strong frequency signal 18.6-19.1db despite is not in the center of
the dish. Hopefully on Friday because of the stormy weather the technician will make it to go from 30w- to 52e
to get a clear picture for all satellites.
 
Honestly I doubt that you can lock the 28-2E with 2.4m in Greece. I suspect the dish is too small.
I lock it here in Milan using the same diameter, but I'm at the beam border already.
But it worth to try it! Let us know.
Which dish you are going to install?

Its already installed many years ago so i do not remember the brand name of it. I have changed the actuator with a new one so i just
wait the satellite man to come to make it working motorized. I have next to it a new wave frontier T90 but i decided to reactivate the
2.40 because in bad weather some satellites in wave frontier have 0% signal. I will come back with the signals from various sats when
i am ready.
