Looking for flash banner making software

All I want is to make a banner 962 x 430 using three photographs that change every two seconds.

I already have one up, but I want to make another one using better pictures.

I've tried about 10 free programs on the Internet and to be frank they've been as much use as a chocolate fireplace.

I've spent a week looking for software that can do this SIMPLE job.

I did find one. I made the banner online and as I was about to download the banner, it said 'to get your banner please pay us $29.00 a month.'

I thought WTF, I only want one banner.

I've been told I could make one on Photoshop but I wouldn't know where to start. Why can't it be @x&*ing simple. Three photos, that's all. It ain't rocket science.

Any help appreciated will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've made animated gifs using gimp. It was a long time ago but I don't remember it being hard.

Hi, I have Gimp, but there are no instructions how to make a flash banner.

With the online software, all I did was start up a new canvas, upload three photos and publish. Took 5 minutes. Looked great - just what I wanted but I couldn't use it until I paid the subscription fee. Sooo annoying.

I think you can do it with Picasa.

SWMBO is a Flash animator amongst other things. As with almost everything, it takes patience and time to learn the ropes.
