The only guaranteed way to get access is to buy your own subscription.

Sports subs range from around 200 quid a year to a thousand quid or more if you have to use uk based resellers. (1500 if you want HD football!)

Receivers & dish sizes can only be recommended once you have decided which service you are interested in.

2mb sometimes works broadband but most of the time is faulty
1.2metre dish with technomate 6800 sitting in shed will go up a some point

Spiderbox's seem to be quite popular you can buy them of fleebay quite cheap. They come with "gift" which basically unlocks certain channels via plugging your box into the internet. which channels they are and how long they last is not guaranteed but out of the 10-20 i have seen in the last few months their not that bad. No UK sky package unlocked but has channels like Nova and some footy ones on thor. Its in HD as well. Not sure about movies.

The dish system that i would recommend based on getting a card sharing style system is a motorized one. The bigger the dish the more channels you can pick up most common dish's i install are either 1m or 1.1 but if budget is a bit of an issue you can go for an 80cm instead

Those gifts (its a card share) are a fools game - when (and its not if - its when) the servers get taken down by the pay tv investigators you get a visit from HM finest polis force asking awkward questions.

like i said theirs no guarantee how long it will last but lets face it if you get into card sharing you got to be prepared for any repercussions that may come with it either that or your must be a fool if you think you can have these channels unlocked and pay very little legally. Or pay out £1000+ for any decent stuff. I'm not trying to sell it i have nothing to do with cs box setup i just install the dish's

id rather do the card sharing than pay £1000+ for subscriptions
i was thinking of getting a 90cm motorised dish and maybe the dreambox 800 or a spiderbox
with these boxes would these need to be connected to the internet if i didnt opt for the card share
if i did opt for the card share i would need to be connected to the internet (have i got that bit right)
jonwisbey how much do you charge to install a motorised dish
thanks

FIRST of all you need to decide EXACTLY which services you want......

Some services / satellites require bigger dishes than others.

For example if you wanted the Abu Dhabi Sport HD channels you would need something in the order of 4m in Liverpool which is more than a little impractical! :D

Also be aware that you could spend your hard earned beer tokens on a card share spiderbox and find the channels go black after a few days. Its happened before and it'll happen again. :-rofl2

Are you specifically looking for a certain team's 3pm games, or just generally?

you need your private message unlocked as we cant discuss prices publicly on here.

on the box side.

personally i cant stand dream box's most are clones and can have problems driving the motor, i have seen a sharp increase in the number of people getting spiderbox's especially since Virgin became secure and not really had a problem with them.

but you do need to know that if you get caught with one of these bad boys you could be in trouble (card sharing is fraud)

I was thinking something similar as main post, not really likely to go for a 4m dish now!! I had just been looking up about these dreamboxes, but was unsure about what speed broadband was required firstly, and as for channels I require..no idea as I am just looking into to it so not sure where to start!! But if i was to go for a motorised dish whats most common size that would suit.. Complete newbie to this, so no point answering what service I require or want as I havnt a clue!!:confused but I am open to all/any suggestions from the more educated on these things here..

cheers
