looking for latest images for d500 clone

Hello World,

I have a clone d500 (nobody's perfect) and wonder where I could found latest working image for box.
I didn't upgrade it since 1 year so please help me find a gemini or nabilo working image that will not scrap my box
I already ask my best friend google but it seems that he forget about dreambox these time

I have Gemini 4.3.0 and it is excellent, but my box is original 7000S.
The Gemini image that had the "virus" was version 4.3.1
So anything before that should be safe.
But don't take my word for it. Be absolutely sure before you flash.
Remember that you will be updating at your own risk.

Also try something else than Gemini

Try Nabilo, older Gemini are hard to find and use as they are often deleted when a new version is up.

I wouldn´t trust gemin and clones :-Nooo so my advice is Get something else - there are many good files to test

don't use latest working images on clone boxes. The actual company who makes original dreamboxes are the people who release the latest drivers. They can easilly add a script like in gemini 4.3.1 to corrupt your boot loader like they did last time.

You best off using gemini 4.30 or a previous version, if other image developers start using these new drivers, you will probably get the same effects. I however don't have a clue if other image developers use what drivers, so it's a gamble.

Im using PLI Iolite on my clone 500s. Works a treat. Would use it even if it were not a clone.

As dig deep says, try nabilo image v0.8 maxvar..
It`s a bit older, but working perfectly at my inetbox. With proper emu/keys, you can watch most of pay tv packages....

You could use the Eagle Image, it is developed in house for the Eagle box and is a great image.

just new , i have a 1meter dish, connected to open media twin unit (cable/sat)and this moment am a ladder fiend ,my wife sends meals up to me via pigeon but im loving the learning curve

to be honest there are a few more out there .theres a new neutrino image also a new enigma one too ,i have on mine a nabilosat one which is perfect

Let us tell the Gemini team that they are not ruling the Dreambox world

(Just to be sure, this is my opinion, not sure that it is the Satellit´s):)

I can understand that the Dreambox team don´t like the clones but

IT show that U can make then cheaper

and I don´t think that it is a fair thing to do, killing the clones by hiding a bootloader killer in the image.

It will only harm the buyers and NEVER the makers. They will survive

Again I press that this is MY opinion and mine only !

The thing your not seeing,
is that its not the Gemini Team that put the
bootloader killer in the image.
It is hidden in the drivers in the CVS image.
(all images build on CVS images)
These drivers are licensed software from DMM.
It is DMM's property, made for Dreamboxes only.
They are not open source.

A clone is NOT a Dreambox, its only a copy...

And one more question, who has made this hobby what it is today?
Its DMM's software...

I just say: Support the future of this hobby, get a genuine Dreambox...

Nabilo is very nice in graphics and user friendly too.
i am using it since long now and tested all other images but this has more features.
its OSD gives much more info than even Gemini.

The clone kill driver has yet to appear in the CVS repository, regardless what certain mouthpieces may have you believe. So far it was a one shot deal using a special updated dreamdriver given exclusively to Gemini by DMM. Will the drivers ever be added to the CVS? Who knows, but Gemini isn't really above reproach as they designed the original clone detection that disabled the Blue Panel & arguably started the ball rolling for DMM to kill clones.

I'm quite happy with my PLi Jade... ;)

There are loads of images for the 500 in the downloads section of _www.cccamforum.com.

My favorite for the 500 which isn't that well know is the Powerboard images

With regards to the Gemini image version 4.2 works fine on a clone ;)

I don't really want to go into this argument again as i was one of those affected. At the time i was furious although now i accept what DMM did and i fully support their actions :eek:

Without a doubt Gemini is probably the most stable image going at the moment so i fully support them.
