loss of bbc radio channels

We've lost our BBC radio channels (bbc 1, 2, 3, Radio Scotland etc) since last week. Tv channels are all working fine. I've done a rescan but nothing changes. The channels are also not elsewhere with the same name (that was the solution when we lost BBC tv channels before...). What's going on? Any advice would be very welcome. We have a fortec star receiver. Thanks!

I've downloaded that list but once unzipped my pc says we have no program to open that particular file. Where / how do I open it? Thanks!
 
Lots of web sites list these channels my favourite is kingofsat, seems to have all the channels from all the satellites.
BBC radio can be found on 10788V s/r 22000 fec 5/6 and 10803H s/r 22000 fec 5/6. Hope this helps.

It's a .dnl file, so your box should open it OK. You need to place the file on a USB stick first though - don't try to open it on your PC. But it's also out of date for the BBC radio channels changeover. I'll be updating the file soon.

I also have lost the bbc radio channels and have read various comments regarding re-scanning
I am sorry but I do not understand any of it - I guess the guy who set my dish up must have done this initially. I have a "labgear" receiver - If I scan the relevant pages from my manual would someone tell me what to do - I have free calls to UK so will call if that is easier.

Hi Trevor, welcome to the forum.

First of all delete all the existing BBC radio channels from your channel list. Then perform a rescan. This should put the radio channels back on your receiver. If it doesnt check the frequency list and see if you have 10788V on the list. This frequency also carries BBC1 West Midlands so if you have that on your channel list you have 10788V.

Some generic receivers wont find moved channels unless the original versions are deleted first, so if this happens again in future (& with the number of changes that go on at 28E it likely will) just repeat this procedure
