My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

I think that it is unlikely to be the box, although it is a possibility, I'm a bit concerned about you saying that changing the polarity makes no difference.

An LNB is normally two screws, a screw on connector and a bit of self amalgamating tape, where abouts are you?

Thanks Rolf - I'm on the north west coast, near Blackpool. I think I can manage a screwdriver and some tape...
