Three new local tv channels are testing prior to launch on the Sky UK epgs:

All three are on Eutelsat 28A

11680V
27500 2/3

and atm all three are fta

First up Made In Bristol

testing tagged as 55315. Should launch in the Bristol area on Sky UK epg 117

Made in Cardiff, testing tagged as 55316.

Should launch on Cardiff area Sky UK epgs on 134

In addition Made In Tyne & Wear is epg testing on Astra 2F 12544H 22000 5/6 tagged as 50430. Trade tests should start towards the end of November for T&W
 
New test here 12640 V 22000 id=55280 maybe local tv tests.
 
The channels on 11680V are not FTA as I write this - they appear as 'encrypted' on my non-Sky box. Perhaps they're FTV? (I guess like "London Live")
 
They were fta last night - they are indeed encrypted to ftv level this evening
 
Made in Tyne & Wear is now full testing on 12545H tagged as 50430 :) Screen grab soon.
 
Just watched my local evening news on made in tyne and wear, enjoyed it but the picture was a bit soft, are they using a low bitrate?
 
VBR on MIT&W is currently about 2200kbps. Its encrypted & I cant swipe the sky card to have a look whats happening atm.
 
Finally got the cabling sorted out behind the TV to get a video feed off the Sky box, so finally here is a screenie for Made In Tyne & Wear. Much the same as the others really :D

I actually stumbled upon Made in Bristol on the Sky box last night! Didn't keep it on for long enough...
 
Leeds has been on air about a month & apparently its already dropped the overnight programming & is showing teleshopping instead.....
 
Yeah still some good programs on it though the rugby league one.

I don't think they need to broadcast overnight just through day to about 1-2am is surely enough hours
 
I thought ftv cards never expired?

SWMBO watches Made in Bristol for its pilates program....
 
Further consolidation in the ultra local tv industry

Bay TV Liverpool has gone bust
Big Centre TV in Birmingham has been struggling & has new owners.

Both will become part of the "Made In..." operation & will appear on satellite before the end of the year.

Made in Liverpool launch expected mid October
Made in Birmingham launch expected in early November

A third launch will be Made in Teesside.
 
Its now been confirmed that Made in Birmingham will launch onto Sky epg 117 early in the new year. Teesside & Liverpool cant be far behind.
