It might be worth disconnecting some expensive outdoor kit to some indoor kit in the next hour or so.

what a load of nonsense

Looking quite lively over the Cotentin Peninsula and coast but most of it seems to be heading towards Dorset and Hampshire rather than SE England. It could alter course but storms that reach here normally start off around Le Havre. Real Time Lightning Map

The storm missed us yesterday, (Cotentin peninsula is directly north from here) though the temperature outside last night was 21C. Anyway, we got thunder and lightning this morning before 8am.....

The detector showed some lightning within 10 miles of this location as of midnight last night, the AM radio in the car continued to provide indication of the number of discharges across the South east all morning.

Quite a few 28E transponders were momentarily off-air around 10:45pm last night

In W. London last night, all we heard was a couple of thunder storm "crashes" around 11.30pm and sounds of rain later on - plus signs of dampness on the ground this morning.
