I remember watching Mandelbrot demos on my Amiga back in the 90s but they've come a long a bit since then.

:confused

I guess you need to have ingested something illicit to get anything out of these things...

Heh, I just appreciate the maths and the coding of these things.

Honestly, not just the endless zooming, but the implications of it maks me dizzy.

Thinking of all that complexity and yet structure just stemming from iterations over a super simple maths formula - makes me think that we think we know so much about the universe and our very fabric of being, and then someone opens a door a somewhere just a little bit and you have infinite strangeness peeping through...

Or maybe it's the mushroom sauce and Medoc we just had for dinner??

Beautiful ..
Who'd have thought maths and art ..could have so much in common..
Rodney wasn't wasting his time getting his 2 gces afterall.

;)

Now the joys of an HD TV make these all the more interesting to watch in the highest resolution. Sod the broadband.

That bottom vid looks a bit like a Borg cube thats had a very bad experience with the Federation :D

The BBCs bitesize take on fractal theory.

seem it's not all chaotic after all.
