Hi all
We bought the above box to receive Freesat here in France last November> I installed the box and dish myself and we have had no issues since then.
Last week, a few channels started becoming pixellated occassionally and sound was de-synched. I noticed the signal quality figure had dropped off and was fluctuating, however the couple of times I checked this it was raining quite heavily ( although the receiver has worked well all winter through worse weather ). Our ITV region setting also reset to ITV Central> I switched the box off and on again and tried to get into setup mode to reset the ITV region postcode setting> At this point the box told me I had no signal received. I waited until we had a dry spell, and re checked the connections at the LNB and the receiver, remaking the LNB end just in case of water ingress. I also checked the dish wasn't loose.
Still the same message on the receiver.
I have connected a cheapo Sat finder meter at the receiver end of the cable and I'm getting a strong signal, which suggests the LNB and cable are good.

Has anyone any ideas? Anyone had one of these boxes and had a similar failure?
 
Certainly sounds like the receiver is at fault, whether it's worth repairing is another question.
 
thanks Rolfw, although the box is still under warranty, so we'll go down that route for replacement> I was just checking if there was a rash of these failures.
 
Does it have 'Made in Korea' written anywhere on it (or the manual )?
