Nitefire, I sympathise with you over your problem. I also have struggled upgrading the MR with Fun6s. It seems like I have read every post on every board, tried every proposed solution but still with no absolute success. I have managed to upgrade the MR in my BEC receiver to versions 1.06 and 1.07t so I now know that I have the procedure correct but I have still failed with 1.07. This isn't a problem because 1.07t works fine for me. I know from all the posts I've read that others have had our type of problem with Technomate receivers. I had convinced myself that letting the CAM cool down for a few hours before upgrading did the trick (worked for 1.06 and 1.07t but not for 1.07). I have also found that inserting the Fun6s into the MR, not hitting OK command but letting the CAM eventually default to download improves the chances (my successes have all been achieved that way). You could try these and see what happens. Also don't forget to disconnect the LNB from the receiver for absolute certainty of a FTA channel. Over the weekend, I spent hours trying to program a tit card - unsuccessfully. Again I tried every tip that I could find. Eventually I was sure that the only explanation for my failure was that my Infinity progger must be faulty. In order to prove this, I loaded the Infinity software into my son's PC and, literally in five minutes, I had a working tit card. My PC is on XP and my boy's on W2K. I'm just using this to illustrate that sometimes there doesn't appear to be a rational explanation why things don't work, when they do it seems so easy and when they don't it's mighty frustrating. Especially when you're following the procedure to the letter! Maybe the problems are down to Microsoft? All I can say is stick with it, eventually you might hit the winning combination. Alternatively you could buy a load of raffle tickets and hope you win the CAS2 programmer. Norm.
