matrix does not read card

HI all,
My magic cam (1.04) converted to matrix reloaded, stopped reading cards.
After upgrading to MR 1.230, the cam cannot read any card put in the cam.

I cannot upgrade using fun6 cards, or use any other card.
Is this a hardware or a xilinx or flash related fault?

After reprogramming to MR 1.055 with cas2 interface, still not reading a card.
Also replaced the xilinx with matrix.cas, no result.

The cam works ok with all the MR versions, but cannot read cards.

Could it be an defect in the carddetection switch inside the cam?

My understanding is that a Magic converted to MR does not provide card support and can only therefore be updated using CAS or laptop.
 
Thought that they were OK with that version, but I know that some have had problems, don't really know what to suggest.

Thanks for yours reply. Wel I have used this converted magic cam for some
time now without any problems. Every time programmed a newer MR version
with 2 fun6 cards. But suddenly stopped as i mentioned.

Others have reported the same problem while upgrading to MR 1.180 or less.

Looks like a hardware problem, since the cardreader menu for updating the cam, exists in the flash file. I have read it with a hex-editor and saw the text for the update firmware menu (MR).
The flash soft drive the hardware for the cardreader and that fails.
