Matrix reloaded cam initializing

Made the mistake of uprading with mr rev 223 file and now cam will not accept another correct mr file. Can access the menu.which says initiallizing but can get no further than that Never had problems before with 2 fun6 cards for upgrading mr files. .. so does this mean the cam is dead and cant be revived. Would appreciate advise , and suggestions.. hgee.
 
The cam is not dead, but you will need a cas interface to erase the cam and load a new firmware. A laptop with a pcmcia slot may do, but I have no experience of that method. As you probably know by now, once an mrev file is loaded, the mrel does not accept cards again. Regards, pcd.
 
it should work unless your receiver is a humax in that case you should initialize it in another receiver.you need a cas interface to upgrade/downgrade.
