Matrix Revolutions Freezing... Why?

Good afternoon ppl.,

I recently got a matrix cam, and although im pleased with it over all, it occasignally freezes especially when vieweing T*S.

I have the latest firmware and my reciever is an old Humax F1VACI.

What Im really after is trying to understand why it freezes so much, just so i dont die dumb ;)

I had read about how it was a possible confict with the Can*l+ keys, tried the work around, but no result.

So can someone shine some light on this. Does anyone know the details of why some people report freezing and some dont...

I'm assuming that by latest firmware you mean 2.21tps, and not the 2.20?
If so, then a may be a receiver conflict, as it's working fine here.

so you rekon its time for a new reciever or will this ever be fixed? as the freezing is definetly less in this release..

I'd be tempted to upgrade the firmware in the hummy first. If it's latest (ToH33 HoT34 I think, but don't have a Hummy) then try downgrading to HoT33. I'd certainly try firmware before buying a new box.

He's got an f1vaci mate not a 5400 so the hot patch won't work. I also reckon its a receiver conflict.

Sorry for the confusion. The 2.21tps works fine here though, just tried it in 3 seperate boxes (Manhattan Plaza ST550, Rex IV & @sat 6910)
Slight freezing in the @sat though this needs new dreamsoft, occasional initializing in the Plaza & Rex.
