Well it is quite late and usually i get a stronger signal around now but no luck...

I'm trying to catch Badr 4 (26.0E) - 11919 H 27500

BUT i keep pulling in 23.5e or 28.2e and i cannot get the right position for 26e.

I would be really grateful if i could have some help on this matter.

Thanks

Try aligning on one of the other tp's - with careful alignment you should get 26E easily enough - I can get it on one of my battered 80cm's with about 60% quality in good weather.

HOWEVER, 11919 Is a particularly weak tp in the UK - An 80 cm dish isnt big enough for MBC :D

The only solution is to use a bigger dish, at least 120 cm in diameter, perhaps 140 cm. When using the smaller dish the pattern is not so narrow and adjoining satellites interfere. Other possibe solution is to try MBC from Nilesat, but you definitely need a bigger dish in England since the transponders are weeker. Here in the Czech Republic I’m receiveing MBC from Nilesat with 100 cm dish and it works basically OK - but the weather plays a big factor. When raining or cloudy (heavy clouds), no picture at all.

Which receiver do you get MBC2 on on that 88cm dish ? Am in Cheshire 53n 2.7w and really want to get MBC2 11919 26e again after they moved it .. have a TMS1000d Sharp .2 lnb 78cm dish and home made incline trimmer and via a stab diseqc motor x 20m cable .... is there a big db loss on diseqc motors?

The documentation/tech specs that came with the motor should give you the insertion loss

i have a tms1500ci with a smart titanium lnb on triax 88, webro wf100 cable but the signal is around 55%

if you want to get these channels then you really want at least a 1metre dish

I have spent a lot of time fine tuning the dish but no luck...

I can get 28.2 and 23.5 (some of the transponders) comfortably but never 26

What frequency is received 24 X 7 in any weather condition in the UK (near heathrow)?

List out the sats you can get then a pattern may emerge. Do you have full line of sight East to West?

Just for reference - 12092 V 27500 seems the strongest here.

Thanks analaguesat / wod... can't find insertion figure on any motor but if you bypass it it improves the signal on week stuff like 26e.

Olisun, 12739H 2400 3/4 is very stong here in E Cheshire... we can get it on a Sky dish in the rain... just a feed but its on most of the time and ideal for locating 26e in the first place... funny its on 2400 and not 27500 ... more pressure from Sky ?

NOTE: just tried an old .7 Grundig Sky LNB on a 78cm dish .. sideways.. (at 90 degrees) and set up a few TPs with reversed H/Vs and its pretty good.. looks like its beating a new Sharp white case .3 and a new Titanium .2 .. The reason for trying that is that it performed really well on the 78cm dish ... then I discovered that they are optimised inside for oval Sky dishes (horizontal).. so I had to try it since that dish goes 'the other way!' ... more channels more solid... Don't trust .2 db figures... and they all have dead spots and high areas..

regards..

I can get every sat from 45E to 30W with very good signal (90%+ on most of the sats) except 26E and 28.2 is fluctuating sometimes. I can't go beyond 30W without damaging my roof... I get most of the Horizontal transponders even in bad weather on 7W and all verticals 24X7.

I can get about 43 channels on 23.5 24X7 and about 90 channels
sometimes when the signals start coming in.. but some of the frequencies fluctuate a lot.

My fibo motor has got the 0 degrees sticker in the wrong place... If I move my motor to 0, it actually is pointing between 7W and 15W.

I think I need to get my motor correctly alligned at 0 degrees but I am not sure where the sticker needs to be moved or how to set it correctly to zero.

Does any body have a picture of the fibo motor showing the 0 degrees setting?

Thanks for all your help guys.

Olisun.. Can you not get 12739H 2400 3/4 Palmedia on 26e.. I swear it's as strong as Sky TPs here... 72%+ on a TMS1000.. the rest are only up to 48%- most hover around 39-40% or less- you should do far better... I certainly can't get 7w although I can get 25 sats from 42e to 45w.

Is there anything in line of site at 26-28e ... like a neighbour's TV ariel? Chimney? Tree? overhead wires?...

I have been trying that frequency for the past 2 days and no luck.. There is no obstruction in the line of view...

I think my arc might be slightly out and I want to set it up correctly.. But I need a picture of the mount to realign the markings to be able to set it correctly to zero degrees.

I have the SMR 1224 but I don't have the adapter plate which fits the fibo...:confused

I noticed that 'that' transponder was down to under 40% for a while while the other TPs stayed the same on 26E- not seen it do that before... ... ... it's been back up now to 74% last time I looked... although I have just recabled with lower loss coax and gained up to 25% on many TPs on 26e.. for reference that 74% is on a TMS1000d and Sky TPs are 75-85% 19E to 90% 13 to 90% and most strong sats 70%- 90%. That's some setup you have... do you have the secondary actuator for inclination adjustment?

hi!
signal here,in austria itself,is strong enough,but there are the problem,that,the offset,of a smaler dish,is smaler,
when ,you using a bigger dish, then, offset range is bigger
also look @ freqency list, the channels on the nabour satelite 23.5,and 28,2 often use same freqancys,,it also depents,on the signal results, how antenna is made, with itlanian gibertini, 1,25m,signal,is not so good, coz, the antenna looks difrent, from normal size,!

on fibo 1,25,i have no problem,on the channels, offset range is small coz antenna is big, signal is 65% on dvb 2000
with,normal small antennas 90 cm,only 40%,not good during rain,and you must point,your dish,very exactly!
mbc is the weakest of all transponders,on this satelit,on 25,8 east, some new channels are on are, but,i have only signal with 1,50 m dish, when darkness come ,in the night till 17h o clock,on day time no signal here on 25.8 e.very weak:)
