I made my first post to this forum 4 years ago when I made my first steps into the satellite hobby; i was very well directed then and hope you guys can help me again.
Having treated myself to a the 12 channel varient of the MCT package (using Viaccess) I followed the usual activation instructions, i.e. leave card in tuned to one of the channels, wait for 2 hours tune away and tune back etc. Sadly it didn't activate.
I have purchased from the supplier before and have no doubt that it is a genuine card.
I checked the MCT site and my technomate 5500CI wasn't listed as supported, but I figured that because of the CI slots that compatability of decoders was not that relevant.
Any suggestions what else could be wrong? or what I could try?
