That is happening because LNB's phase center location is frequency sensitive; higher frequency- more backward LNB should be moved.

I rest my case now Rimants, I am glad you have come to your senses and agree :-applause there is no ideal place for an LNB so now stop messing about with these laser pens and G spots and bits of string :p:D:).
 
Did somebody mention the G Spot? I've been looking for forty years.
 
But it has to be fully in to get a signal from 62E and fully out to get 17E, so no ideal place :), what you should make is something that moves the lnb backwards/forwards :).

Certainly, for usual user LNB's centered position will be enough in all cases. For Fringe geeks like you , Martin movement of LNB along it's axis can help, and already helped. o_O Do not forget, you only moved LNB along axis, not even changing skew, no left/right and no up/down movement. Of course, all this do not apply to those who never start any projects and only can do is critics :-lol

Have plenty of projects, but as i`m not endowed with your superior knowledge of dishes and le point g, fix my fringe reception by trial and error, with loads of patience.
Think my projects though small show results.

Generally speaking, not pointing to anybody, doing practice without any clue about theory, sometimes makes no sense. Does not matter how much labor of Sisyphus applied, final result sometimes pitiable, regardless of patience and time spent.
