please help me!
I have a triax 88cm dish on 16e which i was getting no problems with before the the sat went down at the end of Jan.
The dish was moved and now i can no longer locate the sat on my wolsey satmeter2.
I can get a signal on the technomate reciever by lining the dish to 19e and setting a reference point in front of the dish then doing the same on 13e and then moving halfway between. When i try to tighten the dish it goes every time.
im just wondering if the meters settings for 16e are no longer valid and requires updating or i need to get a bigger dish.
if i need a bigger dish what size ?
on a lot of websites they dont seem to have said that a bigger dish will be required. Most state a 70cm is still adequate.
Many thanks

Hi,

first off you need to know which transponders in particular you are after on 16E, some are as good as before, others are not, or not there at all, last time I checked. Once you know that, you will then know which transponder/s your meter has to have in it, to work. I have a Lacuna Mk4 that I don't use any more, and on that, I had to edit the transponders on it using a software program on a PC, and connect to to the meter via USB (serial I expect in your case).

70cm was not enough BEFORE W2 fell over, so after the problem, I doubt if it is now. Depending on the TP, I would have thought that a TD88 would be more or less OK, but would have to go through every transponder to check what's what, so that's what you will have to do.

Thanks for the reply so its mainly the digitalb supersport ones im after.so i just need to scrub the current settings and put in the supersport settings to locate the 16e sat then? Excellent cheers
