Seems to me like a massive failure...
I heard they where going to show Crossroads. I used to watch it with my mum as a young child, not so much out of choice really but because it was on in the background...
Have to provide name and email to watch the stream that's a bit sneeky of them.
You can put anything _ I used "a@b.com"
Yes, didn't they make a re-make in the late 90s or something? Judging from the screenshot this looks more like the original going by the moustache and picture quality (or is it Analoguesat's dodgy RF link? ;)).I am quite sure from memory, crossroads stopped then started again a few years after ?, i used to watch it with my parents
.....on the Sutton Coldfield & Brierley Hill transmitters.
FRom the Guardian reports Ive been having a look at the STV ones dont seem to be doing too badly, and in the smaller English towns towns there seems to be a reasonable audience.
I still think most of them will end up
a) closing OR
b) amalgamating into a quasi national "local" mutiplex so they can sell more advertising
No doubt some of them will limp along with ever diminishing audiences before the backers throw the towel in - there is no real demand for local tv in the UK - we have seen that already with Manchester, Solent TV & any others that were on satellite in recent years - they all closed.
