Download flash wizzard pro and input your settings in config and utilites.
Come back when you do that and we will be able to get you going. I have the 7000 box so someone with a 7020 might help as well.

Last night other users reported that FWP doesn't work with 7020s Dreamboxe.

Check their web site and the Forum is in Italian but some of the users have 7020 listed as their kit.

As I don't have a 7020 to try it I can only go with what others say.

If you have it connected to your PC and the image you want to load is on it then...

Using your FTP program upload the image to the /tmp directory on the Dreambox and then rename it

rootcramfs

Press OK on the box go to..

(6) Setup > Expert Setup > Software Update > Manual Update > the image should now show in that list - select it and OK it.

Restart the Dreambox and hold the top button until Flash erase appears on the LCD - release and the box will start with the new image.

Make sure you have backed up you original image to the HDD just incase you have to revert.

This doesn't help with multi images on the USB - still working on that one...

miniroot has been reported to work with USB multi boot images - did it come with a read me?

Here it is...

Quick installation:
1) Ftp the .ipk file to the /tmp directory of your dreambox 7020
2) Run the command (telnet) "ipkg install /tmp/miniroot7020_<version>_powerpc.ipk"
Replace <version> with the actual version, of course.
3) Restart your dreambox.
4) From the boot menu, set up your network, then boot from flash to see that the original image is still usable.
5) Reboot again, go to WEB mode in the boot menu, and use your browser to install images.

Using this software, you're supposed to be able to install and boot both 7020 images (.nfi format) and 7000 images (.img) images on either USB memory sticks, CF cards, HDD, CIFS or NFS. Please let me know if any of these combinations doesn't work.

I know there are 7000 images that will cause problems on network shares. Nobody's fault really. It's just that some images assume that the network can be brought down without causing problems. This just won't be the case when booting off the network in the first place.

You would have thought that the Makers of FWP would have brought out a version for the 7020 box. So its back to holding that dreadded top button for hours on end. Dont think I would move off this box for a while.

With miniroot installed, you can just select 'web interface' and then go to you're dreambox using the web interface.

There is a screen there to install images (nfi/7020 images as well as *.img/7000 files)

you can alse select which image to boot by default.
