Missing frequencies on 5E?

For some reason, I am unable to tune into the following frequencies on 5E.

11804H
11881H
11823V
11977V
12034H

Does anyone know of any issues with those? Maybe they moved to SES-5 (which would be a bad thing)...

All others are working fine (for now).
 
Give me a few minutes and I shall check.
 
All massive signals on my 1m.
 
Interesting.

Just browsing my stored Channels and in many cases, the SNR jumps from max. to virtually nothing and back again, repeatedly.

Wonder if there's an impending failure going on?

That looks like an LNB sensitivity issue.

You should be able to force the receiver to look at 11804 MHz on the lower LO by setting it up in single LNB mode
 
And this exercise has reminded me my dish is about 3deg out on the pole.

Currently balanced out by USALS Longitude tweak.

Must get out and correct it properly!

Hm, so if the others are stronger, then I guess it's safe to say they are on Astra 4A still.

I'll give it a go, though the same frequencies work on other satellites without issues, so I sort of ruled out H/V and 22kHz switching.

According Flysat these transponders are all DVB-S 3/4.
But I just scanned them, they are all DVB-S 5/6.
So FEC may have changed recently!
 
So, a possible case of FEC off :oops:
 
FEC is auto anyway. 11766H is on European beam, right? I am getting no signal there....

Right, time to dig out another LNB... hope I have a C120 one lying somewhere.

11766 H is relatively weak, indeed.

11766 H maxes out on both Strength and Quality here ..... but I'm a fair bit further North than other contributors here.
 
OK, 11766H wasn't working on Dr HD F15 for some reason (outdated params?) but it is indeed maxing out on Solo2. The ones in the original post are still missing though.

Going to connect it to my sat card and what's on there.

New LNB didn't help, by the way.
 
Wish I could help but I haven't got a dish up on 5E at the moment (or any other sat except 28E right now) but I've decided to give up on 5E in favour of 9E when I get my dishes up this spring now that most of the Viasat FTV channels have gone.

Looks like my FEC was not set to Auto but defined to 3/4. Blah. Changed it all to Auto and it's all back now...

Apologies for the frivolity. Carry on.
 
But at least you've prompted me to go sort out my dish azimuth error.

At least it's not just 28E that is subject to these feckin' FEC changes that make life difficult on the fringes. :p
