I've got a dm500s and have it all setup fine but it seems to be missing some stations.

From what I can tell the box is unable to find:
Sky1
Sky2
Sky3
Some of the movie stations
Sky News
Sky Sports 1
Sky Sports 3
Sky Sports 4

The rest of the stations are there and work fine and I don't mean I'm unable to view the stations the box can't find them, they don't appear on my services list.

I'm using the satellites
Astra 2A/2B/2D/Eurobird 1 (28.2E)
Eutelsat W3A (7.0E)

I'm in Ireland so I'm guessing that has something to do with not being able to find the stations but if anyone could give me some help that would be great.

in which case you culd use lyngsat (_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk.html) to locate the missing frequencies for your missing channels and manually add them to your frequency list and then scan for the missing channels...

And after that I am sure there are different version for Irish Sky cards as opposed to UK Sky cards....which may also count for one or two of the missing channels....

as he says the missing channels are not even in the services list so the region of the viewing card has no bearing in this case. As for lyngsat I agree, its one of the best sources of info for this kind of issue. You could also try _www.kingofsat.net

If you cannot actually receive the missing transponders then you need to look at dish aligment, LNB and cable quality and the possibility of a slightly deaf tuner in the Dreambox.

Hi Joe-Bloggs,
At a quick glance i think Sky sport 1 3 & 4 are Horizontally polarised only sport 2 has a V?
Perhaps check that you are receiving both V & H. (I know this dosent fit sky 1 but---)
Regards

As I remember, Lyngsat shows the coverage of the satellite. If that channel is been covered in that area or not. If yes, you go to its charts to see the frequency and the rest of the stories.

We don't have the Sky here, but the region of viewing, where your dish is been situated and its direction are important too.

I'm getting all the channels except for sky sports 2. I've even tried a manual scan for it and it comes up with 0 services found. Anyone have any ideas?

Change your dish position. i.e. move it from don't know front of your app. to back. East to west.
I have the same problem here in Dubai and Tehran. We changed the dishes place now we have more channels. The problem's 'coz of high buildings or skyscrapers and so on.... that make a wall in front of your dish, therefore you can't receive crystal clear frequencies from elsewhere.

Or check your LNB
Or Check your Coaxial cable quality to be optimum
and so on....
