Got me a new provider for the Net

When I tried to install the new(delivered from them) modem I run into BIG problems

The broadband connection from my lappie to the net was working OK but I couldn´t get my wireless Netgear router to work.

After 2 days:eek: of struggle I did find out that they used a PPoe system, the modem was incorporated with a router so no wonder my wireless router didn´t work

They don´t support other wireless system they told me'O'-red

They could, however , sell me a wireless router AIO for only 1000 sek

So, my question is Anyone know how to fix this PPoe stuff ?

There is an IP problem as I can get in touch with the Netgear but can´t get online with it.

I hate company that don´t tell everything when U buy, later on it comes like a surprise.

Why not us ethe company modem/router and buy yourself a wireless gateway Dig, then you can sell the Netgear on Ebay. :)

Am I right in thinking that at the moment you have a wired modem from the provider and the wireless Netgear that won't work with them? If so do you know the model numbers of each? You might be able to use the router they provide, connect a LAN port on the it to the Netgear, close the ADSL service on the Netgear (and don't connect it to the phone line) and use that as a wireless point. A bit messy however.

Also, are you able to access all the login details on the router they provided? It's unlikely that the Netgear won't work, more likely that they just aren't telling you how to set it up, in which case if you might be able to find all you need in router they provided.
 
Yes, it is a matter of making modem and wireless to talk:)

I have what I need to know regarding login and user but I guess I must make the netgear to log in first with log/user to get online. Now this is done by the modem.

I will do some testing now that I know what game this privider is playing

BTW I am online when I use a cable to the computer so I can work and search

My only concern is the dreambox:-Nooo so I better get this sorted, one way or another
