Does anyone know if a monobloc LNB will work ok with a Echostar 3600?

I want to fix my 80cm dish up to receive both Hotbird and Astra, freeing my second dish up for Hispasat.

But now someone tells me they dont know if a Echostar will switch over using a monobloc LNB.

What is true?

Hope someone can help

Many thanks

If the echostar has DiseqC then it should switch the monobloc, but how do you intend to switch to 30W?

Moved this to Multi Sat Systems

Echostar 3600 uses standard EchoNav software, which does support DiSEqC v1.0 - so a Monoblock (or indeed any other arrangement of switched LNBs) should work just fine.

Perhaps your advisor was somewhat confused because the Echostar software used on their motorised receivers does not support DiSEqC v1.2, which is used for driving DiSEqC motors. Echostar obviously consider that to be unnecessary on a receiver with a proper built-in positioner and motor drive.
