Hi all I hope you can help. Doing an odd job for a friend who has a 1m dish aligned to hotbird 13E with linbox receiver with cyfra subscription for Polish tv he has a second tv in his bedroom with no subscription. His wife used to get a couple of Spanish channels which have now moved onto the astra satellites at 19'E. I thought I could solve his problem by installing a 6' monoblock lnb. The dish is still aligned to hotbird but did need a little adjustment to get maximum signal. The astra channels have tuned in fine and so I thought were the Polish on hotbird, but it turns out that a fair few are now missing. The quality of the signal on hotbird is around the low 40's whereas the astra quality if higher. The monobloc lnb is an inverto twin suitable for 80cm dish, is this the problem having it on a 1m dish? Any advice on a solution appreciated.

Forgot to mention, we are located in Edinburgh

You can find the same with a monobloc on a 60cm on hotbird, astra is stronger on the offset.

Monoblocs are intended mainly for the continent where the arc is flatter, that they work this far north is a lucky thing.

Try a LNB Multifeed Bracket with seperate LNBs.
