More channel changes

My Satellite Setup
Famaval 2.4m dish, Invacom 0.2dB LNB (single), Pace 430N
My Location
Famagusta District, Cyprus
Hi All,
I don't get the 2D satellite here in Cyprus as I cannot afford a dish big enough; just get (on a 2.4m Famaval) 2A and 2B. So changes can be quite important to me.
Anyway, today it appears that Ch 504 Bloomberg has shifted over to the 2D satellite, and Ch 411 Eurosport 2 UK is now back on the 2A/2B group.

411 is good news for me as I am a Snooker fan and I am watching the same snooker as is on BBC2 (Ch 102) which I cannot receive.

I'll miss Bloomberg though.

Yep, 504 has gone for me too. As for 411 - I think it was always on 2A/2B it was just a really weak channel. I think maybe they just moved transponders. I was able to get it for much of the time with my 2.4m Famaval, however I had the invacom Quad on it with the adjustable feedhorn - they make a difference y'know!

Which movie channels do you get? Do you get Ch129? How about 108 & sky sports news?

Hello Bignick and thanks for your reply. I don't subscribe to the movie channels (would do if there were plenty of films we hadn't seen before!) but as far as I can gather we get a signal on all of them. We also (just checked, at 2020GMT) channels 129, 108, and 408 (Sky Sports News).

Bloomberg is available on 11426 V 27500 2/3 (Eurobird)
Tiny Pop and Pop are on the same transponder, can you see them??

Bloomberg moved from 2B North, 12070H, earlier this month.

Hi Denis,
Well actually I don't have a dish or receiver for Eurobird, but the signal here is very strong - some friends of ours nearby get it fine. We are thinking of combining our resources, with a link between both houses, so we both can get SKY and Hotbird etc.

I think you misunderstood me.
Eurobird is at the same location as Astra 2A and Astra 2B at 28.2 deg.
You should be able to receive it with your current set up.
Can you see channels 619 and 620 on your digibox??? These are the channels on the same transponder as Bloomberg.

You are both right,we can receive some Eurobird channels not all of them.We never could receive tiny pop so now that bloomberg has joined them we have lost that also.

Sorry! I was getting confused with Hotbird. No, I cannot receive 619 or 620, I get the 'no sattelite signal being received'.

We have bloomberg in Asia but don't have BBC 2. The number of channels depends on your chipset and the program you use. Few useful channels, more place and better performance for your receiver.

I've to say that the programs, softcams and ... we are using now a days are not ligal so harm the memories of our receivers, so we have to delete the not necessary channels for better performance and more hacked ones to have.

Anyway,Bloomberg is available on Hotbird,with bbc world,cnn and bbc pr*me
