It has been announced this evening at the "Missing Believed Wiped" event at the BFI that over 10,000 cans of BBC & ITV film cans are believed have been recovered from Africa - Zambia & Nigeriaare likely origins. (Full details havent yet been released)

Now intense speculation centres on whether any more Doctor Who has been recovered, although I think its a dead cert something is going to have been found in amongst the haul.

Lets hope we get news of what else is in there soon - the 3 missing Dads Army eps maybe???

Further updates as & when definite info is posted.

EDITED for clarification

It'd be grand if there were a few of the criminally erased 'Not Only But Also''s amongst 'em.

Maybe an episode of The Newcomers?

Theres a few NOBA left

23 made

14 missing
2 incomplete
1 domestic quality recording

All programmes mentioned above are from the Beeb but I'm now wondering what there might be worth watching from ITV?

'Do Not Adjust Your Set'
How true. Wasn't wasted on me though!

Couple of other programmes to cogitate on - 'The Man in Room 17' and 'The Liars'.

Room 17 is complete & at least 2 dvds are available on Amazon

Liars is about 50% complete.

The Kelly Monteith Show ?

From IMDB

The series starred Monteith as a fictionalised version of himself, an American comic based in London, living in a flat with wife Suzanne, played by the sexy Gabrielle Drake. Monteith would chat to the audience, and his monologues alternated with domestic sketches, written by Monteith and Spike Milligan's 'Q' collaborator Neil Shand.

Kelly Monteith In One was a different show

Chances are you cant.

Very very little heritage stuff ever gets repeat showings, which really is a shame.

The stuff that does get shown is the old stalwarts like Morse & Poirot. Even the Dr Who repeats have fallen by the wayside now the 50th anniversary is over.

Thanks, but again, it's the one man show, not the long running series.

Just to refresh ones enthusiasm for finding those episodes...
