Hi guys,
I am wondering about mosaic task on STB. in my experience, STB can only process one program at the time. So, why STB can display more than one program with "mosaic" task?
Can someone explain for me?
Thanks in advance
Hai

This sounds like the "Multi-pane" feature I have on one of my boxes: You'll see that however many windows you get,, the pictures are static for all apart from the highlighted one.

So I assume when you select that feature, the receiver scans from the Channel you were on sequentially for a few channels, storing a "screen-shot" of each as it does.

Then you get an idea of what is on and scroll around the multi-pane window to highlight your choice.

Bit of a gimmick, really.

I find "screen-shot" stream is displayed continuously

For promotional purposes some program distributers transmit a realtime mosaic to promote their bouquet although I cannot say I have seen many recently, however of course the sound can only be from one of the screens at any one time
