Most suitable LNB for Triax TD88

Hi,

Some of you regulars may remember I posted a while back, wanting advice on set up for my new system. At the time I was using a 60cm dish bought from a French diy shop. This was working fine, however I was a little frustrated by the limitations of the dish which had less surface area than our zone 2 S*y dish.

So, I took the plunge and bought a Triax 88cm. I've fitted this (a bit of a job, balancing on our porch roof, crouching under the roof gutter and trying to offer up the very heavy dish to the motor stub) successfully.

Though it needs some fine adjustment I'm very pleased with the results, bringing in Arabic channels from Nilesat (vertical not horizontal). I'm using the same LNB I bought with the 60cm, a .3db Inverto. Is there a more suitable LNB for the Triax anyone could suggest? I'm not wanting budget but can't break the bank either! Something around the £20 level would be good.

The 0.3dB Inverto is good as are the Invacom LNb's. Both should perform well on the Td88.

Another decent option is the Smart Titanium.

But really your current one should be just fine.

Always a good idea, especially considering the miniscule cost (Even to a dyed in the wool Tyke like me!) having a spare or three, though.

Hi,

Thanks to both of you. Actually, the dish came with a LNB but I impulse purchased the Inverto later in another store. I kind of thought that there wouldn't be much of an advantage with another LNB unless I was prepared to up my budget. I'm not right now!! So I'm satisfied to live with this for a few months yet. I do intend to post a few pics of my setup on this forum, just as soon as I can find the time!!

when i had a triax td88 dish i used a smart titanium lnb on it which worked very well
