Hi every one
I have Motcck 2100 motor working fine with my Triax TD110 , and I'm picking many satellites between 42E & 30W , bit the signal is very week on some of Viasat Denmark channels on Sirus -I have on official card and receiver- so I'm thinking to uprade to 1.2 dish -Giberitini 125 forexample-but I'm not sure if it's too heavey for my motor did any one tried this before? the manual says it can handle UP TO 1.2 m .
Any Help appreciated.
Thanks

I personally would not mount that size dish on the moteck.

But saying that the gib dish isn't that heavy, its just the wind loading you have to worrie about.

Do you have the dish in an open area?

Theres is a polar mount available for the gib dish`s. much better than disec. You would also need a vbox if you use a 36v motor on the mount.

I wouldn't put one on a Moteck SG-2100, too heavy and too much windage.

The Gilbertini 1.25m is heavier than it looks, as it has a very sturdily built back mount and boom.

An acquaintance of mine has one on a Stab motor in a very sheltered location and even that struggles.

Your best bet would be something like the Jaeger 1224, there are a couple of recent threads about this motor, but you will also need a V-Box to interface with your DiseqC receiver.

Another possibility is to use a DisecQ jack on the polar mount. :)

I have a SuperJack 'DARL - 1208+' DiSEqC 1.2 actator. I have had a play with it and it works OK, just not got a setup that uses jacks. :)
