Hi guys,

I am new to these forums and new to satellite technology in general so bear with me please (and move my thread if it's in the wrong place :) )

I am a computer person and thought, technology is technology... So I tried adding a channel for my mom as a mother's day 'gift'. In the end the satellite scrambled, started scrolling the picture down the screen, but after fiddling around I was able to get to the factory reset, found the password online, and got it back to an operational state (with color!)

I'm using

To try and add a channel that is on Galaxy 19. Problem is, in my Antenna list, I see some Galaxy antenna's (not sure if im using correct terminology) like Galaxy 3 and 10 or something similar, but no 19. Does this mean I cannot add the channel, or is there a way to get the Galaxy 19 antenna to show up so I can add it?

Also, if anyone has good reading for Newbies on setting the channel frequencies, what LMB is and all that fun stuff, please share :) I went into this prematurely and really don't know what I'm doing. Thanks!

Also, I found a REX-I upgrade file online, but before I buy an RS232 to usb (or RS232c, does it matter which I get?), I want to know if I need to even worry about upgrading. Thanks!

Sorry bud, any questions whatsoever to do with any of the Yank channels are strictly forbidden on this forum.

Most of our members are European and will never have seen or used your receivers.

Try one of the American hobby forums.
