Motor dish set up using USALS

Hello,
Could anybody give an advice about how to put longitude and latitude , transponders and satellite longitude in my receiver?
I set up the pole, motor and dish accordingly as well used a satellite meter to find a Thor 2,3 but has 70% quality and 68% signal.
Manually I could see some channels so probably won't take longer to find others satellites as I want the 19.2 East as I would like to watch German TV.

You'r asking for help but dont tell what receiver you use ???
 
OK, the first thing is to check that the mounting pole is absolutely vertical front to back and side to side, then manually set the dish, and motor to the elevation settings provided by the motors manufacture for your locations latitude, then check that the LNB is aligned correctly to the dish, there should be zero skew on the LNB (LNB rotated clockwise or counter clock wise) or it will not track the satellites correctly as the motor turns the dish, the motor does all the skewing for you..

Next the dish and motor with receiver OFF and not connected to the motor must be manually set to true South from your location, this is done by loosening the motors mounting brackets slightly and manually moving the dish and motor as a unit, (the motor must be at zero) this zeros the setup. , with the receivers power off you can then connect it to the motor.

Turning the receiver on the next step is to then enter your longitude and latitude per the receivers instructions, this info (longitude and latitude for your location) can be found by Google Earth or on some cell phones, this setting is important or your receiver will not know where it is, then find your due South satellite(s) by manual East/West control function in the receivers menu settings, this is your zero return setting, if something gets messed up later then this is where you can go back to start over, this satellite may be a few degrees (or tenths of degrees) or more from true South but the dish needs to be set to true South first or your tracking of the Clark belt (satellites location) will be off.

Once you find the correct due South satellite then the USALS function will find the birds for you by a list stored in the receiver if it was purchased for European operation, I would check the satellite list first to see that it is correct or the dish may try and swing to a bird over Asia.

Note: If you are located South of the Equator then it will be true North and and a due North satellite.

Just clarifying; I did have some channels in Thor 2.3 0.8w but not all transponders are with signals, when sending the motor to Astra 19.2 E only one transponders with some kind test channels, Hotbird the same. Why is that happing ?

Did you set the LNB to be parallel with the horizontal axes of the dish??

If it is off one way or the other you can miss some of the transponders, when the dish is at the zero setting the LNB skew should be zero or horizontal.

Also if the type of LNB is not set correctly in the satellite menu you can miss some.
 
Are you only getting the horizontal or vertical transponders???
