My Satellite Setup
Triax 88cm dish with Technomate TM-5400 CI+
My Location
London
Hi there - me again!

Dish: Triax 88cm
Box: Technomate TM-5400CI+
Motor: Technomate 2600
Latitude is 51.58°
Longitude: -0.432°

I've finally managed to align my satellite dish at 1W with Transponder 11.325 (H)/24.494 receiving Level 97% and Quality 94%! For this I would like to thank everyone for their advice!

This 1W corresponds on my motor for when I move it around to tother satellites and move it back to 1W using USALS then 1W comes perfectly. This makes me assume that the physical setup is fine.
However, when moving the motor to other satellites there is little or no signal. For example, a move to 7W only came up with around 5 channels, all of poor quality whilst a move to 28E didn't produce any channels.

Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the pole could be leaning forward (or back ) a little, or is leaning slightly left or right (or any combo of those)

Recheck it's plumb .................

If it isn't the pole itself, check that the dish is squarely mounted on the motor stub ............. some clamp types have an annoying habit of skewing off centre as you tighten them. Should be clear upon close inspection if that has happened or not.

BTW 7W shouldn't produce any Channels at all with that dish!

I struggle to get a few Verticals using a 1.1m.

Or did you mean 7E?

Yep, 7W is difficult, I think I may of got a few channels on a td88 in the past.

Send the dish to 28E, the gently tilt the dish up and down, to see if you can get a signal. If you can, it means your arc is not quite right. Did you set the scale on the motor correctly?, i.e for your latitude.
