Motor suitable for a triax td110

I am just wondering has anybody got any ideas about what kind of motor i need for a td110 in an exposed location on a 2' pole.

In an exposed position this still may not be enough.
Polar mount possibly

I certainly wouldn't advise putting a 1.1m dish on a DiseqC motor in an exposed position, you may be better off going for something like the Gilbertini 1.2m with a polarmount.

Is there much involved in setting up a 36 volt motor as ive just heard they are a lot sturdier than diseqc i have the budget to get the most suitable for the job.

Two options:

H-H mount 36V motor
or Polar mount with actuator jack for larger dishes.

If your receivers doesn't support 36V positioning then you will require a V box.

The setting up principle is the same but more involved although personally not done a actuator/polar

There are still a few polar mounts available for the Triax TD, google for "Triax Polar Mount For TD Range"

Wouldn't go for a DiSEqC motor myself for that size dish in an exposed location.

Try the Jaeger Supermount 99g or the Triax polar mount.

best would be to use the polar mount for the triax dish or if you've not bought the dish yet then take a look at a gibertini dish with polar mount

there's not a lot in the set up of the polar mount just make sure pole is 100% level then set the polar mount elevation with an inclinometer/angle finder and then adjust the dish on the reference satellite which for your area as its ireland will be 5 or 8west depending on your longitude
