I have encountered a problem with my Diseqc Superjack DG120 motor.
It has worked fine for almost 2 years .

I recently realigned the dish and it was working well.
Now,it has stopped moving Eastwards.
It will move West allright .
I tried moving it manually via the buttons underneath the motor but it makes a clicking sound when I press it to go East.
If I move it East in the dreambox menu it wont move .
I tried making it goto zero ,it worked a few times but now it doesnt seem to do anything when I enter gotozero.

I have tried 3 different receivers ,my 600s,500s and 800s so its not a power issue.
I replaced the cable between the motor and receiver but that made no difference.

Its currently stuck at 30w and the signal is good .
In the manual it says the motor can be reset by inserting a pin into a hole but there is nothing in the hole, its just an open space.
Is it time for a new motor ?

Sounds like a gear problem maybe worth taking it apart to see what is happening .

Certainly sounds like it's shredded a gear tooth or teeth.

Reset is only for when the motor has become lost and you drive it to zero manually, then press the reset button with a long probe.

You could try gently nudging the dish whilst pushing the east button and see if it finds some gear teeth.

Thanks guys,I'll take it down the next fine day and have a look to see if I can get it turning East again.

I took the motor down and opened it up and everything looks ok.
No burnt out components, the teeth look fine with very little wear.
I have done some testing .
If I try to move the dish Eastwards via the rotor setup menu ,it clicks and wont move .It wont step East or move East.Westerly movement is fine.
If I set it to drive to an Easterly satellite (Drive to satellite) it sometimes just clicks ,other times it will move Eastwards ,sometimes to the Easterly limit. It only moves for some satellites and some of the positions are not correct .
If I select a channel on an Easterly satellite it just clicks ,no movement.
Its very weird.
I reset the motor via a pin and I've tried the motor with 3 different receivers (to rule out current/power issues ) and used a short piece of cable but it makes no difference.
I'm thinking of getting a Clarke Tech HH390 motor or else a 4 lnb multifeed bracket (Gibertini) for 28e,19e,16e and 13e.
